Product names

  • When Amplitude is part of the product name, use the full name (e.g., “Amplitude Analytics”) on the first reference and the product name (“Analytics”) on subsequent references.
  • Follow this convention for Amplitude Analytics, Amplitude Experiment, and Amplitude CDP.
  • Link to the product page on the first reference.

Product capitalization

  • In general, capitalize parent products or categories and lowercase the features or solutions underneath.
  • Example: “Amplitude Experiment” (parent) vs. “holdout group” (feature)
  • Exception: Capitalize features if they have a unique name or are trademarked.
  • Example: “Amplitude AI” (parent) vs. “Ask Amplitude” (feature)

Chart names

  • When referring to a full chart or feature name in Amplitude, lowercase the name and specify if it is a “chart.” Examples:
  • “The event segmentation chart enables you to accomplish deeper segmentation of your events.”
  • “Use Amplitude’s funnel analysis chart to pinpoint where users fall off.”
  • “You can now choose to set permissions on a team space.”
  • When referring to these concepts in general, lowercase the terms. Examples:
  • “Doing funnel analysis helps you pinpoint where users fall off.”
  • “Try segmenting your users based on the referring domain.”
  • “You can run cohort analysis with Amplitude Analytics.”
  • Link to the chart or feature documentation or a corresponding Amplitude Academy page on the first reference.

Plan names

  • Use “Amplitude Plus plan" on the first reference and “Plus” or “Plus plan” on subsequent references.
  • Follow this convention for Starter, Growth, Enterprise, and other plans.
  • Exception: In some design applications of the visual type treatment, it might look better to use title case (“Plus Plan”) when referring to plans.
  • Link to the plan page on the first reference.
